ENGAGE at CCA
The Field as an Extension of the Studio
Coordinated by the Center for Art and Public Life, ENGAGE at CCA places students at the center of project-based learning with a focus on community engagement.
Students apply knowledge and share skills.
Faculty provide vision and structure.
Community partners give context and frame needs.
And outside experts provide frameworks and expertise.
Why ENGAGE?
- To empower students to transform the real world.
- To enhance and give context to classroom knowledge.
- To collaborate with local organizations and communities.
- To effect real-world change.
Students are not just working with community partners, but also building trusting relationships. Understanding areas of critical need informs their creative solutions.
ENGAGE at CCA. A whole new dimension.
