An exhibition of artwork created by the 100 Oakland families who participated in the first year of 100 Families Oakland: Art and Social Change.
A community art project sponsored by F. Noel Perry and the Center for Art and Public Life, 100 Families brought families together over the course of a year (January 2005 through May 2006) to make art under the guidance of professional artists.
A total of four 10-week art workshops, including 25 families each, took place in East and West Oakland, Chinatown, and Fruitvale.
For more information on the project, visit 100 Families Oakland: Art and Social Change. For more about the exhibition, visit the website of the Oakland Museum of California.
