Community Arts BFA
An interdisciplinary program, the Community Arts BFA focuses on community-based arts practice and theory, with an emphasis on service learning, civic engagement, and issues in diversity.

SMART Teaching Concentration
The SMART cluster of studio and humanities courses satisfies prerequisites for application to postgraduate, single-subject-in-art teacher credential programs, as authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Youth Mentorship Classes
CCA courses in art education and youth mentorship with school and community partnership components offer the opportunity to explore teaching and mentoring. Read more

Alternative Spring Break
A Diversity Studies studio class, Alternative Spring Break begins with a series of seminars held in class/studio at CCA. During spring break, the class travels to a distant location and engages in a community art project. Read more

Art in Education Teaching Institute
The Art in Education (AIE) Teaching Institute is California College of the Arts' year-round professional development program for Bay Area K–12 educators and teaching artists. The institute provides opportunities to build the knowledge and skills needed to teach and integrate the arts in an engaging, meaningful manner. Read more
